The Honorable Prime Minister of India, Sriyukta Narendra Damodar Modi, launched a new scheme for helping landholding farmers in India. This scheme provides a direct benefit of Rs. 6,000 annually to landholding farmers. The main objectives of this scheme are to provide income support to eligible farmers to fulfill their financial needs for producing various agri-products (such as paddy, wheat, tomato, potato, etc.) and increase yielding capacity. Documents required for PM KISAN new farmer registration
If you want to register in this scheme then you need to have these documents.
- Aadhaar card with registered a mobile number.
- A farming land (You or your family member should be the land owner)
- A ration card
- Bank passbook
PM KISAN Samman Nidhi Yojana Eligibility criteria
- Land Ownership- The applicant or his family should have land that is less than 5 acres.
- Small and Marginal farmers- Farmers should have less than 5 acres (2 hectares) of cultivable land.
- Ration card- The applicant should have a ration card (in one ration card, one of the members can then avail of benefits).
- Applicant to do Aadhaar link and Aadhaar seeding for DBT. If the applicant does not add Aadhaar to their passbook, then they cannot get the benefit.
Step for PM KISAN New farmer registration
Step-1: First search on google https://pmkisan.gov.in/
Step-2: Then you will be redirected to the home page of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Then search here for ‘New Farmer’ registration.
Step-3: After Click on ‘New Farmer Registration’, and a new page will open. Then select here for rural farmer registration if you are a rural farmer, and if you are an urban farmer, then click on urban farmer registration.
Step-4: Then enter your Aadhaar number and mobile number, select the state which you belong, fill up the Captcha code, and click on the submit button.
Step-5: A 4-digit OTP will be sent to your mobile number; fill it out here. Then refill the captcha and click on the submit button.
Step-6: After that a 6 digit OTP will send to your Aadhaar registered mobile number, fill up here, refill the captcha and click on submit button.
Step-7: A new application form will open, which you need to fill out carefully. First, select your district, then your block, and then your village. Slightly scroll below and select your caste, farmer type, father’s name, and ration card number. If you accept PM Kisan Mandan Yojana, then choose yes.
Step-8: If your ROR has multiple owners, then you can choose joint ROR, and if your ROR has a single owner, then choose single on ‘ROR type’. Then add your land passbook khata number, plot number, land vesting date, etc.
Step-9: After that, click on the add button. If you want to add more plots, then add accordingly. Then preview the whole application carefully.
Step-10: Then click on ‘save’ button for the final submission.

Verification and Approval process
After the submission of the application, you need to wait a few days. You can check your application status through ‘check status of self-registered farmers’. If you want approval for your application quickly, then you can contact the district nodal officer. Currently, a farmer’s new registration is approved within 4 months. That means if a farmer applies for PM KISAN samman nidhi yojana, he or she will get the first installment in the next phase.
Updation of self-registered farmers
